JAMES Ullman – Attorney at Law

James Ullman has more than 35 years of experience as an attorney and focuses his practice on franchising, intellectual property and education law. His accolades include one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for 10 consecutive years. He has held leadership roles in several education organizations and public boards including a member of the State Board of Education from 1991-1997, President of the board in 1995; a member of the State Board of Directors of  Community Colleges of Arizona from 1990-1997, Chairman of the board in 1995; a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association; a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum Committee on Franchising from 1982 to the present; the Chairman of Seminars on Franchising for the State Bar of Arizona in 1987 and 1989; the President of the National Organization on Legal Problem of Education (1992) now Education Law Association; and a member of the Council of Franchise Suppliers of the International Franchise Association.  Additionally, Mr. Ullman is a published author and lecturer. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Mr. Ullman is admitted to practice in Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
